The Fair Housing Project works to educate North Carolina residents about their rights under federal, state, and local fair housing laws through seminar, trainings, and conferences. Fair housing trainings and educational seminars conducted by the Project target renters and homebuyers; people with disabilities and their service providers; local governments, housing developers, property managers, and other housing providers; Spanish-speakers; and attorneys and housing professionals who represent individuals in mortgage and foreclosure-related matters. For more information about upcoming programs, or to see about scheduling a training or educational seminar for your organization, please consult the calendar or contact the Fair Housing Project by email at info@fairhousingnc.org.
In addition, the Project has free literature regarding the fair housing rights of North Carolina residents, in both English and Spanish, with specific brochures for people with disabilities and those who are HIV-positive and/or people with AIDS. To obtain copies of our brochures, contact the Project at info@fairhousingnc.org.
